Youth Camps
The Northern Hockey School has been providing quality player instruction in Smithers, BC circa 2004. The school is coached and operated by individuals, with ties to the community, who have been involved with hockey at all levels for the majority of their lives. The Northern Hockey School youth camps are
open to players of all genders, and skill levels with
birth years falling between 2008-2015.Three
separate youth camps are run concurrently split
into birth years of 2005-2010, 2011-2012, and
2013-15. Each age group will receive two ice times
per day, a dry land training session, a dry surface
skill development session and a game/education
session. There will be time set aside each day for a
snack and lunch. All players will receive a Northern
Hockey School jersey at camp registration. The final day will consist of a game, followed by a BBQ.
Hockey skills will be taught at an age and skill appropriate level that will challenge each player. On-ice skills taught will consist of the following:
